Our restoration process
We believe that having your piano restored by our company should be an exciting and rewarding experience. Rebuilding and refinishing a piano is a process that involves several different stages. We provide emails with the status of your piano and photos during the process, and we do our best to help you feel comfortable and informed each step of the way.
Consultation
The first stage of the piano restoration process is to set up a consultation. Our piano rebuilding experts are available for telephone, email, or online consultations at your convenience. During this consultation, we will discuss the options available to restore your piano and create a proposal that is tailored to meet your needs and budget.
Pickup
The second stage of the restoration process is to coordinate the pickup of your piano. We only use professional, fully insured, piano movers for this process. Our movers are highly experienced and are equipped with the proper tools needed to transport your piano to our facility. Once your piano arrives safely to our facility; we carefully inspect it and confirm the initial scope of work and price described in our proposal with you.
Restoration
The third stage of the process is the actual restoration work. This stage can take weeks or months to complete depending on the scope of work you wish to have done to your piano. All of the new materials and parts we use are sourced from the very best manufacturers in the world. Our soundboards are made with the finest tight-grain Alaskan Sitka Spruce or Eastern White spruce, and we use either Renner or Steinway action parts depending on the piano vintage and your personal preference. We put extra time and care into ensuring that all the materials we use in our restorations are of the highest quality and are historically accurate. If you choose to have your piano refinished, we remove the existing finish, expose the natural wood beneath, and apply a beautiful custom stain or color in a finish of your choice. Once this restoration stage has been completed, we proudly take several photos of your piano and email them to you.
Delivery
The same attention to detail and care is involved during the delivery of your piano. We personally inspect and carefully wrap and package your piano before it leaves our doors. Once again, our professional, fully insured, piano movers arrange to pick up and deliver your piano back to you.
Follow-Up
Our work does not end once your piano leaves our facility. Once your piano has arrived to your home, we want to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. We provide you with one complimentary tuning once your piano settles into your home, and we back up our work with our 5 to 20-year warranty.
